About the Project

A friend challenged another friend to write a poem every day in the coming new year. The challenge was taken up - and then passed along to yet another friend. We will be writing poetry every day. We may choose to publish it here, or we may choose to post it here but keep it private (unpublished). The choice for each poem is up to each poet. So come on. Write more poems.

If you have learned of this site through a friend who is a member, please ask them to recommend you, and send the admin an email letting me know that you're registering. Otherwise, we can't approve you.

Also please note that we share our work on this site under our real names. If you want to write things you don't want associated with your name, you can rough-draft them here and keep them private, then share them in another place that allows pseudonyms. We do not.

Note: Every poem is copyright its author. If we want to share our poems via Creative Commons, you will see a notice at the bottom of the published poem's page letting you know that it's available for re-use. Please don't steal from us. :)
